REFORMER PILATES
We will start every morning with a Reformer Pilates sessions over looking the ocean.
Our reformer session will be dynamic, energising and strength-focused. Our expert instructors will guide you through flowing sequences that build full-body strength, improve posture and enhance mobility.
Expect an uplifting, empowering practice that leaves you feeling strong, supported and revitalised.
MAT PILATES
Our mat Pilates sessions will offer a slower, more gentle approach, focusing on mindful movement, breath and deep core connection.
Using your own body weight, these sessions enhance stability, flexibility and alignment while encouraging awareness and control.
This grounding practice supports recovery while still building strength from the inside out.
YOGA
Our yoga sessions are calm, nourishing and deeply restorative, drawing inspiration from Yin yoga.
Poses are held for longer periods to gently stretch the body, release tension and quiet the nervous system.
This slow, meditative practice invites rest, reflection and a sense of deep balance — the perfect complement to the more dynamic movement of the retreat.

7 NIGHTS AT TALALLA
3 DELICIOUS MEALS PER DAY
Your retreat includes x3 nourishing meals per day prepared by our chefs and served at our on-site restaurant.
Enjoy a buffet-style banquet with brand new dishes served daily so you can indulge in a choice of traditional Sri Lankan and Western cuisine.

Energising morning Reformer and calming evening mat Pilates and yin yoga.
Your retreat includes an energising morning Reformer Pilates class and a calming blend of gentle mat Pilates and Yin yoga in the evenings. These complementary practices are designed to balance strength and restoration, helping you feel strong, relaxed and at your best.
All classes are led by our experienced instructors, who will guide you safely and support you regardless of your experience with Pilates or yoga.
3X WORKSHOPS
During the retreat, we will host three optional workshops designed to deepen your understanding of Pilates and mindful movement.
These include Foundations of Pilates, an introduction to anatomy and alignment, and a practical session focused on continuing your practice at home. Together, these workshops are designed to complement your movement sessions and leave you feeling confident, informed and inspired in your ongoing practice.
2 CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
Sri Lankan cooking class – Learn how to create traditional Sri Lankan dishes straight from the locals.
E-Bike tour with temple visit – Take a scenic e-bike tour to a local Buddhist temple, cycling through peaceful countryside paths. Spend some time at the temple to soak in the serene atmosphere before returning back to the retreat.

POLLY
Polly brings a vibrant, empowering approach to Pilates and mindful movement, with a passion for helping guests feel their best.
Her journey began in competitive gymnastics, where her love for movement first took root. Now a Pilates instructor, yoga teacher, massage therapist, and personal trainer, Polly draws on her wide-ranging experience to guide sessions that are dynamic, supportive, and accessible.
Whether you’re looking to build strength, improve mobility, or deepen body awareness, Polly helps you connect to your practice with confidence – so you leave feeling strong, energised, and inspired. She also brings warmth and joy to every class, and is always happy to share a smile, a chat, or a fresh coconut under the Sri Lankan sun.

PAIGE
Paige transitioned from hospital-based physiotherapy to pursue her passion for movement as a reformer Pilates instructor.
With a strong background in physiotherapy, she has a deep understanding of human anatomy and thoughtfully tailors each class to individual needs. When she’s not teaching on the reformer, you’ll find her surfing, relaxing on the beach, or exploring all that Sri Lanka has to offer.

Yasemin is a STOTT-certified Reformer Pilates instructor with an international background spanning London & Dubai.
Her teaching style focuses on intelligent, functional movement, postural alignment, and progressive strength, with sessions that are both challenging and deeply supportive.
Alongside her Pilates career, Yasemin brings extensive experience in luxury hospitality operations, ensuring guests feel guided, cared for, and completely at ease throughout the retreat experience.

CAN I COME ON MY OWN?
Absolutely! In fact, we encourage it.
We know that the decision to book a retreat is a big investment into yourself, and sometimes that journey is a path you need to embark on solo.
Lots of people that attend our retreats come on their own, so we can almost guarantee you will meet likeminded individuals in the same position as you.
We’re also more than happy to host friends and family groups too – the more the merrier! Our retreats are open & inclusive to anyone interested in taking a break from everyday life to look after themselves.
CAN I BRING A FRIEND?
Yes! A retreat is the perfect getaway to make some new memories with your favourite people. If you’d like to share a room with your friend(s), you can choose our double/triple options under the room selection.
DO I HAVE TO BE GOOD AT PILATES & YOGA TO COME?
There is no requirement to have attended a Pilates or yoga class before – let alone being a pro!
Sometimes an immersive experience like this is just what you need to acquire a new skill & the confidence to continue the habit when you return home.
We all start somewhere, no matter your age, fitness or physical ability, our team are here to cater to you and adapt classes to your specific needs.
WHAT TIME OF YEAR IS THE BEST TO COME?
Sri Lanka has a tropical climate that circulates through wetter and drier seasons, though because of climate change, the weather is increasingly becoming less predictable. In recent years our driest months have seen the highest rainfall!
We encourage you to choose your retreat dates to suit your schedule as globally weather is not always going to show up in the same ways they used to.
‘Rainy season’ really just means that it’s going to rain for a short while at some point in the day, but the rest of the time it’s sunny & tropical. Your weather app will show you rain everyday, but the portion of the day that it rains is not typically going to impact your time on the island.
So when’s the best time of year to come? The time of year that suits you & your schedule best! We’ll be here to host you at Talalla.
WILL I HAVE ANY FREE TIME?
Of course!
Additionally, everything offered in our retreat schedules is optional. So if you decide you need some more ‘me time’, there are many places on our property (and the beach) that you can relax and unwind at your own pace.
Our schedules are designed so that you make the most out of your time with us, both physically and emotionally. But we know that every person is different. We all march to our own rhythms and have our own unique needs, so our staff members are always here to help you to feel comfortable at all times during your stay.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
We have laundry facilities on site, so there is no need to overpack (easier said than done!)
Some bits we do encourage you to bring are…
- Lightweight and breathable clothes to practice in (it can get sweaty in a tropical climate)
- Something to swim in
- Something that covers your legs & shoulders when exploring temples to respect local culture
- Mosquito repellent (we also sell this in our shop)
- Suncream – the Sri Lankan sun can be very strong (you can find this in our shop too)
- A water bottle – we have refill stations on the property and encourage our guests to refrain from relying on single-use plastic
- (Optional) A retreat can be the perfect time for self-reflection as you embark on a journey of personal growth. Bringing a journal and a pen to document your time with us can help to enrich your time.
