Our retreat is designed to enliven the senses, soothe the soul and nourish the mind.

Each year we invite four internationally accredited yoga teachers to live onsite for three-six month intervals.

Be as flexible as your body with casual yoga classes available both morning and afternoon. There’s no need to book, just show up.

For a deeper yoga experience, join one of our monthly yoga retreats. Our fantastic yoga retreat experience has many components – world class yoga teachers; fresh food that nourishes body and spirit; a lush tropical setting (local wildlife is an added bonus); and opportunities for therapeutic and indulgent spa treatments.

Private classes, meditation, pranayama as well as personalized retreats may be arranged on request.

Daily Yoga Classes

Talalla is delighted to offer two 90-minute yoga classes every single day of the year.

These classes are drop-in, there is no need to book, we can always make space. Currently, daily drop-in yoga classes are offerred at 0730 and 1630 in one of the outdoor yoga shala’s onsite. The cost is USD12 plus taxes per class.

All levels of expertise are welcome at the drop-in yoga classes. Even if you are not staying at Talalla Retreat, you are welcome to come along and join the classes.Classes differ daily, and may start with a short pranayama, and a setting of your intention for the class. Daily classes may be in Hatha, Ashtanga, Flow or other styles. You may focus on alignment, opening the hips, relaxation or balance. Typically, your class with end with a short meditation and shavasana.

All props are provided including mats, blocks and straps. Bring yourself and a bottle of water, and dress in comfortable clothes. Our instructors will tailor classes to the appropriate level, and offer both basic and simple variations so that all levels can benefit.

 

 

At Talalla Retreat we are dedicated to our yoga practice.
We have two separate outdoor yoga shala’s to maximize our capacity to practice.

Both of our yoga pavilions are large spacious open air custom built studio’s, cooled by sea breezes and both overlook lush tropical grounds.

The main Yoga Shala was created to accommodate classes of up to 45 participants. Practicing within our outdoor Yoga Shala’s is a unique and unforgettable experience. The natural surroundings and fresh crisp air add to the benefits of the practice and create the perfect surrounding to support you in your yoga practice.

Would you like to organise and run a Retreat at Talalla?

Talalla Retreat offers the perfect setting to conduct a retreat, training or conference. The Yoga Shala is large and can accommodate up to 45 participants, it is a open sided studio, with a large wall along the back, ideal where wall space is needed. The studio is set in a open grassed coconut grove opposite the large swimming pool. 
Talalla Retreat is fast becoming a sought after location for transformational work in the area of Yoga, Tai Chi, Dance, Creative writing and Meditation.

If you would like us to personally organise & design a retreat for you or your group we are also happy to do so with a small extra booking fee. Please advise us of your needs and we can arrange it.

For our guests, please note that the daily yoga sessions will be relocated within the Talalla grounds during the times when outside retreats are using the Shala for their personal workshops.
