Yes. We welcome everyone to join us. All levels are welcome. Variations on each postures will be suggested according to your capacity.
We offer a variety of yoga styles. In the morning, we teach a dynamic vinyasa class. In the evenings, we teach either a gentle restorative style or Yin Yoga.
No. Our yoga hall is equipped with everything youʼll need. We have mats, bolsters, straps, blocks, and blankets. If you wish to bring your own mat or other props, you are welcome to do so.
Bring clothing that is appropriate for yoga and warm climate. Also consider bringing your own mosquito repellant.
Our yoga retreat is designed to be focused on all things yoga. We concentrate on teaching a variety of styles, anatomy, meditation, breathing techniques, and philosophy. It is an opportunity to delve deep into yoga. The Surf & Yoga retreat is geared towards surfing. The majority of the activities will be surfing related. This includes the yoga classes that compliment surfing.
Yes, as long as you are past your first trimester. If you had a regular practice before becoming pregnant either morning or afternoon classes are suitable if you are new to yoga since being pregnant the afternoon classes will be more suitable, as they are slower. Make sure to communicate with the teacher before the class so we can give variations to suit you and keep you safe.
This depends on what kind of injury you have. Please consult with your doctor to make sure a yoga practice will not bring further harm to you. If your doctor approves and you join our yoga classes, please be sure to inform the instructors of your injury.
Yes. It is possible to extend your retreat on a daily basis. However, please be advised that the price for extending on a daily basis is not the same as signing up for a longer package. If you are certain that you would like to stay for a longer period, please sign up for the appropriate package as to take advantage of the discounted rate and additional bonuses.
Yes. You are welcome to join the morning vinyasa and evening restorative classes as you wish. However, please be advised that yoga retreat packages include additional workshops and activities that are not available on a drop-in basis.
Casual classes run twice a day as do retreat classes. However, if you join the yoga retreat, you will also receive daily guided meditation and pranayama classes, daily workshops, massage, care pack, and more. The retreats are designed to create an indepth experience to discover all aspects of yoga.
Yes. However, arrangements to bring your yoga must be made in advance. Please refer to the ʻBring A Yoga Groupʼ section of our website to learn more about how we can accommodate you.
Sri Lanka is warm all year round and our Shala is beautifully positioned so you can enjoy the elements. Any time of year is ideal here… On the southern coast, the ʻdry seasonʼ is from November to May. The ʻwet seasonʼ begins around June. The weather in the south of Sri Lanka is tropical. Which means that even in the ʻwet seasonʼ the temperatures remain comfortable. There is never a bad time to visit southern Sri Lanka!
It is better to book sooner rather than later to secure your spot! Particularly during the ʻhigh season!ʼ

More than 7 days prior to arrival: no charge. Less than 7 days prior to arrival, loss of 20% deposit. Early departures will be charged 20% of the remaining booking cost.
(1ST DECEMBER - 31ST APRIL)
Cancellations during peak period, less than 7 days prior to arrival or no-shows: loss of deposit (20% of booking cost) or one nightʼs accommodation – whichever is greater. Early departures will be charged 20% of the remaining booking cost, except in December and January when early departures will be obligated to pay full remaining booking cost. Please note that refunds can only be processed to the credit card used to make the booking and may take up to 28 days.

Overall, Sri Lanka is a safe and friendly country. The people of Sri Lanka are very welcoming, peace loving, and polite people. Please be advised however that it is always best to be cautious when you travel. Avoid walking alone after dark. Avoid displaying jewelry, cameras, and other valuable items openly. Using common sense is a good idea, wherever you go!
Yes. There are a number of clinics and hospitals with emergency facilities nearby. There are also numerous pharmacies.
Please consult your doctor about any health precautions that you may need to take such as vaccinations.
There is plenty to do around Talalla. You may choose to enjoy the beach at our doorstep, go for a surf with one of our resident instructors, go to a nearby Buddhist temple, as well as choose from a number of other excursions available to our guests.
