Within an hour's drive of Talalla Retreat there are a dozen temples of staggering and complex beauty.
There are hundreds of kilometers of untouched beaches with brilliant and dazzling surf breaks. In these unpolluted turquoise waters the snorkeling and diving is easily accessible and world class.
An hour's drive will take you to Galle. Galle Fort is a world heritage town that oozes history and mystique and is reminiscent of Ibiza old town 50 years ago.
In the other direction, one and a half hour's drive east you are in Yala National Park or go north and you will find the Uda Walawe national park. In both of these reserves you will find the extraordinary abundance of flora and fauna that Sri Lanka has to offer. Leopards and elephants are not uncommon.
