Having sustained injuries during contact sports in his athletic career, Kent was inspired when he found relief in alternative healing therapies, his introduction to yoga was in 1983. As a qualified/certified yoga teacher and integrated yoga therapist with Bachelor degrees in biology and psychology, Kents ongoing experience in the yogic process and extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology allows him to asses individual as wells as group structures by creating a safe healing environment for all levels. Whether a yin or a power vinyasa style, all classes are a gentle approach to strength, which emphasize the breath guiding the body giving students opportunity to cultivate compassion within each moment of every approach and posture.
Kent has been teaching yoga since 1999. He owned and operated Warrior Yoga in Brisbane Australia for five years and has actively taught at Yoga Works throughout California. Kent gratefully cites Brian Kest, Tim Miller, Eddie Modestini, Maia Heiss, Larry Heliker, Rod Stryker and Billy Asad as teachers who influence his continuing dedication to this path of liberation.
